    Twin Springs-Clintwood

Clintwood could have scored 100. Starters physically man-handled Twin Springs. In the first half, TS had three or four guys helped off the field and one had to be medic-flown out..pretty serious from what I heard but did not hear the exact injury. I would guess neck or spinal since he was strapped down to a board. Coaches agreed with about 7 minutes to go in 2nd to keep a running clock. Pretty much the jv team played in the 3rd, 4th and moved the ball. TS scored on a halfback pass against the jv team.
Starters for Clintwood I believe scored on all four possessions with defense scoring two td's on interception returns.

Seriously, did anybody expect anything less? Still planning my trip to watch Clintwood play for a state title. I don't worry about that not happening

I'm pretty worried about next week. I think Burton will play much better. Add in the fact that they had their hands full today and that'll help them also to focus this week. Clintwood's starters will have played 14 minutes of football in the last 3 weeks going into the regional game. I expect a good close game much better than last time.

Exactly the thing that worries me. I didn't know what Twin Springs had, but I felt sorry for them. Physically they were dominated. As for the injury, hopefully it isn't as severe as it seemed at first. Clintwood definitely was focused and the starters were very focused, and even the younger kids that came in did pretty well.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

    Re: Twin Springs-Clintwood

I was hoping the starters would have got the first couple of series in the second half so they could get some more work in but seriously...no bs..more TS players would have gotten hurt. I hope that does not sound like bragging but like Rock and I have said earlier.....domination happened. TS was just picked up and moved anywhere the C-Wood's line decided to put them

It was an ugly game for sure. Clintwood was up 42-0 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Hopefully they will come out next week ready to play a tough game against Burton.
